Getting the right help is easy. If you or someone you know is unsure of where to go for behavioral health services, you may call Mecklenburg Area Mental Health's Information Line for assistance. When you call, we will ask you to explain your situation as well as any services you are currently receiving or have received in the past. You will also need to provide:
  • Your Name
  • Address
  • County of Residence
  • Telephone Number
  • Health Insurance/Medicaid Card (if any)
When you visit a Mecklenburg Area Mental Health affiliated provider, you may need to bring one or more of the following:
  • Medicaid/Medicare Card
  • Social Security Card
  • Insurance Card
  • Proof of Guardianship
  • List of Medications and Dosages
  • Proof of Income

Our Focus
Our focus is on serving those most in need of services and those with limited financial resources. We accept Medicaid and Medicare. We accept those without Medicaid or Medicare based on available resources. Consumers who are billed are responsible to pay for the services they receive, based on their ability to pay. A sliding-fee scale takes into account the consumer's family size and adjusted family income.
